Keylan Consulting was engaged by Orange City Council to undertake the assessment of a $25 million mixed use development within the heart of the Orange CBD. The four-storey development comprises 98 hotel/motel accommodation rooms, a pub and bistro, retail and 189 parking spaces.
The assessment entailed a range of issues including a Clause 4.6 variation to height, traffic and heritage and concluded that the DA should be approved, subject to conditions, noting its economic benefits to the region and high-quality design. Orange Council’s Planning and Development Committee adopted our recommendation and approved the DA on 3 November 2020.
